Gucci Updates Iconic Jackie O-Inspired Handbag

Inspired by the First Lady.

Gucci revisits the past to breathe new life into the iconic Jackie handbag, inspired by none other than the inimitable First Lady. Initially introduced in 1961, the elegant accessory immediately evoked grace and poise and is now re-introducing itself in a range of rich colors and fabrics to suit every wearer.

The bold emblematic GG supreme canvas is a natural choice for the fashionistas, while the leather is a fitting version for those that enjoy a more subdued and sophisticated look. Its minimalist yet impactful silhouette arrives in three different sizes — the bite-sized mini, small and medium — built to suit an array of occasions. The handbag comes with a versatile, longer removable shoulder strap, either in leather or as a chain and appears in woven raffia and straw as well as with velvet tapestry patterns for Cruise 2023.

In the Italian fashion house’s latest campaign, actor Dakota Johnson takes center stage, celebrating the handbag’s rich history and legacy.

Take a look at the campaign video below. The Jackie is available for $2,950 USD on Gucci’s online store.
