Napapijri's New Capsule Uses Fabrics From Liberty London's Archive
Cozy British countryside meets avid explorer.
Napapijri‘s new countryside capsule takes inspiration from the archive of iconic London department store, Liberty, utilizing classic designs to revive its signature silhouettes.
Taking cues from the concept of exploration and travel, the collection draws on Liberty’s extensive archive of textiles, honing in on the store’s Magnified Wildflowers print for its womenswear offering, and a Tartan pattern for its menswear. The standout piece in the collection is undoubtedly the classic Northfarer Anorak, reimagined in new iterations of the Liberty fabrics, alongside bucket hats, hoodies, T-shirts and travel accessories.
Fusing functional clothing with the warmth of the countryside, the collection seeks to celebrate travelers who are “moved by self-expression and the pursuit of creativity,” according to the brand’s press release. Leaning into the British country feel for its campaign, Napapijri joined forces with dynamic London-based photographer, AZ Captures (aka founder of Pay Your Shooter) alongside singer-songwriters Kwaku and Murray Matravers.
Teaming up with London-based photographer, Louis Bever and director Louis Lincoln, the campaign offers an artistic reimagining of a quintessentially British day in the country.
