The twenty-piece collection marries the East and the West, honing in on KENZO’s Parisian-Japanese heritage and Levi’s roots in America. Utilizing Kaihara premium Japanese denim, the line embodies Nigo’s KENZO real-to-wear approach, offering formidable denim pieces inspired by the cowboys and miners that are at the heart of Levi’s DNA. Bedazzled ranch hats, tasseled jean jackets and elevated Canadian tuxedos stand out in the range, joining co-branded bright red outerwear and matching bandanas. Hardy overalls, frayed light-wash denim sets, structured dresses and shearling-trimmed coats makes its presence known, adding to the collection’s refined utilitarian aesthetic.
Amplifying the mélange’s cross-cultural ethos, the campaign is shot in Kyoto by Inner Monogolian photographer Ryu Ika, capturing the collection’s inherent duality.
