Gabrielle Union Rocked a Long Bob, Sleeker Than Your Mom’s Sunday School Flat Irons

For the 54th NAACP Image Awards, Gabrielle Union signed, sealed and delivered a glamorous hair moment while giving a heartfelt message to the masses.
The actor wore the sleekest body wrap to date that will give the little Black and Brown girl out there Sunday morning flat-iron flashbacks. Union was honored with the President’s Award alongside her husband Dwayne Wade, for their tireless advocacy on behalf of the LGBTQ+ community. Both gave a powerful speech dedicated to daughter Zaya Wade. Union spoke to the countless murders of Black trans teens and women that go unnoticed in mass media. While I personally felt the sting and truth of her message, I couldn’t help but notice how effortlessly her hair, makeup and gown was for the evening.
Turning heads on the red carpet, Union wore a strapless, bejeweled Versace gown, with her hair as shiny and chic as her dress. Styled by resident hairstylist Larry Sims, he curated a long bob for the star, complete with a middle part that perfectly complemented the Flawless founders’ dress. Her glam done by Fiona Stiles was kept simple and neutral with a bronzed-out smokey eye and eagle-contoured cheeks, finished with a nude wash of color on her lips.
