Black History Month may have come to an end but our stories are far from over. In celebration of Black beauty and the faces who forefront it, “Good For(u)m” has returned for its second installment.
To Black women, our hair is more than just hair; it is our crown of glory and shield of protection. It is wildly scrutinized yet popularly appropriated. Whether we wear it with honor or shame, our hair stories spark nationwide uproar that should only be tamed and told by the Black woman herself.
“Good For(u)m” exists to connect the Hypebae community to stories, instructions and inspirations behind Black hairstyles, while stimulating productive discussions around Black beauty and what beauty means for the people who make up our community.
We partnered with three Black creators across the business, entertainment, and beauty industries to learn firsthand about their natural hair stories and protective tutorials and how they can be added to our own get-ready routines.
