An Animated 'Stranger Things' Is on the Way

Spooky Saturday morning cartoons.

You may just be seeing a cartoon Vecna on your screen as an animated version of Stranger Things is on the way.

While details about the franchise’s new installment are confidential, Netflix has officially ordered the new cartoon series, delivering a scary start to our weekend mornings. The new show is being developed by Eric Robles and Flying Bark Productions, while the show’s creators, the Duffer brothers, are filling in as executive producers through Upside Down Pictures as well as Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen of 21 Laps.

“We’ve always dreamed of an animated Stranger Things in the vein of the Saturday morning cartoons that we grew up loving and to see this dream realized has been absolutely thrilling. The adventure continues.” the cinematic sibling duo shared in a statement.
