Willow Smith's Multicolored Beaded Cornrows Evokes Core, Summer Childhood Memories

Willow Smith‘s latest hairstyle will tap a childhood core memory and evoke summer hair inspo: Beaded cornrows.
The star took to Instagram with a selfie of her intricately parted braids, proving that cornrows can go in many different directions and not just “straight backs.” The right side of her hair featured a swirled pattern extending down the side of her head, with the braid dropping to her earlobe and tied with beads at the end. This taps into the memory of seeing little girls and boys having their hair braided up for the summer and sloshing around with hair beads as they delighted in fun neighborhood activities with other children.
Smith opted for large multicolored beads in earth-tone shades of dusty brown, blue, yellow and a vibrant orange which hung through her hair’s plaits for this look.
