As Season 2 of And Just Like That premieres, fans are wondering just exactly how Sex and the City‘s biggest rivals ended up filming together.
Well, they didn’t. Feeling as if Sarah Jessica Parker‘s “nice girl” act was entirely too much, Kim Cattrall refused to work with her again. Cattrall also took it a step further and revealed she’d never return to the series — despite show writers feverishly writing her into scenes via faux text threads. Clearly desperate to have her back, fans wondered just how much Cattrall was paid when she announced she was rejoining a few weeks before AJLT‘s Season 2 premiere.
Unfortunately for fans, Cattrall’s character Samantha will only be featured in one scene, shared Variety. And that scene is the season finale, meaning Samantha won’t make a physical appearance as quickly as fans had hoped.
Although the team was able to bring Samantha back, Cattrall stuck to her boundary and didn’t work with Parker directly, Variety reports. Instead, “Cattrall shot her dialogue on March 22 in New York City, without seeing or speaking with the stars of the series, including Sarah Jessica Parker,” the publication wrote.
