Balestra's FW23 Collection Is an Ode to the Stamina Of Flames

Standing for strength and vitality.

Balestra, once a symbol of historical luxury, has evolved into a new-generation women’s brand that embraces simplicity, quality and uniqueness. Their Fall/Winter 2023 collection perfectly reflects this energy of eternal freshness and artistic innovation.

Inspired by the vibrant blue of the hottest flame, rich in carbon—a color and element indispensable to Earth—the collection celebrates the spark of life and the fiery force that shapes matter like liquid metal forming a second-skin armor. Natural irregular harmony is expressed through broom flowers springing from volcanic lava stone.

The lineup showcases creativity with velvet prints evoking the power of a volcano, blending into white shirts with floral embroidered shoulders. Nature’s magic inspires embroidery on jackets with cinched waists and Plexiglas embroideries inspired by the animal world.

Flames take center stage in thermowelded leather and resin-cast details on Balestra jackets, creating a three-dimensional effect. The fiery motif appears in jacquard weavings on dresses, crop tops and loose cargo trousers.

The color palette transitions from flame blue to fiery red, adding strength to trench coats in technical fabric and leather-effect jersey dresses with clever waist gatherings. Dominant colors in the collection include flame blue, black, tabasco, red and silver, with fabrics like leather, silk satin, wool gabardine and crystal embroidery enhancing the designs.

Take a look at the ensembles in the gallery above and head over to Balestras’ website to explore the range in more detail.
