It’s time to grind the pavement.

UPDATE (July 25, 2023): Tobey McIntosh has officially confirmed Crenshaw Skate Club‘s upcoming collaboration with Nike, announcing that the SB Dunk Low will be “coming SOONER than expected.”

The designer spilled the details on Instagram, sharing,

“Being able to work on an SB Dunk has been a dream of mine ever since I was a kid. My first pair of skate shoes was a pair of SBs that I took from my mom’s closet. To say that 10 years later I’m collaborating with @nikesb on a Dunk is surreal. I started Crenshaw Skate Club in 2017 with the mission of empowering and shedding light on all inner-city skaters around the world due to the lack of representation in the skate industry. Now, we are able to spread our message and shed light on inner city skateboarding by way of @nikesb. Wow!! Thank you to everyone at Nike SB involved on this project, from start to finish you ALL made my dreams come true and brought my vision to life. Thank you to @garrett.labrie & @itsmamadou for all your help on this for the past year and a half.”

McIntosh revealed new images taken by the photographer Tim Hans as well, which you can find above. Stay tuned for more updates on the official release date.

Crenshaw Skate Club and Nike are coming together to drop a cool, blue co-brand SB Dunk Low, celebrating the storied intersection between skateboarding and sneaker culture.

Originally introduced in 2022, official images of the sneaker have just been released. showing of the sneakers’ truly unique design. A primary color palette outfits the footwear’s facade, tinting the iconic Swoosh in a baby blue, while the laces boast a pastel yellow hue, contrasting its cream exterior. Elsewhere, cracked leather panels immediately catch the eye, arriving in shades of blue and red for a duo-chrome effect. Crenshaw Skate Club’s branding rests on the tongue banners, alongside a playful illustration of the acronym in alphabet blocks. The inner child-healing drawing makes another appearance on the bottom sole, adding a sense of joy with each step. Meanwhile, it joins Nike’s logo, stitching its monikers into the heels.

Leaving no detail behind, the sneakers’ inner soles are decorated with cheerful, graphic art, featuring palm trees and Crenshaw Skate Club portrayed on a billboard. Official release information should be surfacing in the coming months.
