KAWS and UNIQLO Tease New Collaboration

Expected to arrive later this year.

KAWS and UNIQLO are teaming up for the second time for a new collaboration. Teased on social media, they revealed a sneak peek: a teaser video of KAWS’s Companion figure breaking through art books to unveil a joint T-shirt with KAWS’ “What Party: Tide (2021)” design. Their post simply read, “New Project. Coming soon.”

After their 2019 release, which caused quite a stir in a Chinese mall, this fresh collaboration is expected to generate excitement once more. The teaser suggests the collection will include UNIQLO UT T-shirts featuring artwork from KAWS’ “What Party” exhibition, which toured worldwide in 2021. Additionally, it seems the artist will launch a book via Phaidon Press, likely to coincide with the UNIQLO collaboration, hinted by a tag in the post.

Although the release date is unconfirmed, we anticipate the collection’s arrival later this year. Stay tuned for updates.
