'Riverdale' Finale Reveals 4 Key Characters Were... Polyamorous?

Riverdale‘s series finale leaves social media in shambles after a polyamory scene.
In the finale, characters Betty, Jughead, Archie and Veronica are revealed to have been in a polyamorous relationship for a year. Obviously, fans were stunned at the discovery given that quad relationships are rare on mainstream television. But, the ending felt quite random for die-hard viewers.

For the many fans who stopped watching the show after Season 2, the ending scene has sparked a more intense feeling of confusion. “If you held a gun to my head and asked me to tell you the plot of this show i’d tell you to just pull the trigger,” one shared. Another source of confusion is the clear representation for unconventional relationship styles, especially for queer people. As if it couldn’t be a more layered situation, viewers can’t help but overlook the inaccuracy of the moment, as well.
