Balenciaga Goes Full Blokecore for 2024
Debuting a new Soccer Series collection.
Hot off the heels of its Los Angeles runway show, Balenciaga is going full blokecore for 2024. Announcing a new, limited-edition collection of ready-to-wear and accessories, the label is drawing inspiration from the world of soccer, releasing a collection filled with long-sleeved jerseys, track pants and scarves emblazoned with familiar-looking logos, piping and sports-inspired details.
Arriving in a slew of vibrant colorways, the collection features hues of neon green, pink and red, interspersed with classic tones of navy blue and black. Matching tracksuits, shorts and poplin jackets make up the bulk of the collection, rounded out by brimmed caps, zip-up hoodies and socks.
A selection of the new soccer-inspired product also features the name of a city or neighborhood where it can be bought, in place of the typical player’s last name, including Dubai, Tokyo and Paris. Some pieces also feature the number 10 instead of a player number, acting as a subtle nod to Balenciaga’s historic address in Paris.
