Nike's Intricate Air Force 1 Low "Chinese New Year" Celebrates the Year of the Dragon

Nike is gearing up to celebrate Lunar New Year, kicking things off with its newest commemorative silhouette — the “Chinese New Year” Air Force 1 Low. Celebrating the Year of the Dragon, the new silhouette appears wrapped in a luxurious gold silk fabric embellished with thematic detailing.

Golden-headed dragons crafted in violet and silver appear embroidered across the shoe’s panels, while celebratory embroideries take over the shoe’s toe boxes. Elsewhere, the shoe features a golden Nike Air logo alongside a repeating Chinese character which translates to “double the happiness.” The symbols pay tribute to both Lunar New Year and Valentine’s Day, which fall a mere few days apart.

The elevated design is completed by a gold branded tongue tag, lace dubraes and gold lace aglets, finished by a plush cream outsole and matching cream laces.

Take a closer look at the forthcoming silhouette above, slated for release via Nike SNKRS China on February 14.
