Vaquera FW24 Is Full of Tits and Punk Rock Chicks

“Bus, club, another club, no sleep.”

Vaquera presents its Fall/Winter 2024 collection at Paris Fashion Week.

This season, the New York-based brand seemingly pulled inspo from one of society’s most rebellious groups: punk rock chicks. The runway featured loud elements such as oversized belts, exaggerated silhouettes with padded hips and an abundance of cheetah print. Remaining true to its “vaquero” or cowboy roots, the brand opened the show with a chaps skirt — not pants, but skirt(!)

A standout feature from the showcase, aside from nipple cutouts that demanded attention, was the brand’s use of veils, another recurring theme on FW24 runways. Here, Vaquera reimagined the wedding item as an edgy accessory paired with dark colorways, as opposed to pure white.

Kinky elements were expected from the riotous brand, considering its recent collaboration with porn conglomerate, Pornhub. But what attendees definitely were not expecting was Vaquera’s clear freeing of the nipple, a voracious trend this season.

Cone bras, Madonna’s favorite on-stage accessory, also dominated Vaquera’s runway with touches of metallic on padded hips. Ironically, where bras were missing, they were donned on T-shirts with veils.
