SUNNEI FW24 Models Tell Us How They Really Feel

“The world is on fire and we’re talking about fashion?”

Every season, Milan Fashion Week show-goers eagerly anticipate SUNNEI‘s show concepts. From models sprinting down the city streets, to crowdsurfing, to being judged by the audience, the brand uses the runway medium not only to showcase its collection but to offer social commentary on the state of the industry.

For Fall/Winter 2024, SUNNEI chose to let the models speak for themselves, literally. As each model entered the runway, recordings of the inner dialogue blasted through the speakers. Some focused on their walks, others on lovers, evil bosses or conversations with friends.

See: SUNNEI is the dopamine hit we all need every season. Always joyous and never dull, the label’s FW24 collection offers bright stripped puffers, chunky yellow knits and silky green tops. In an inaugural collaboration, the team also joined forces with Camper to unveil sleek footwear in cream and black.

Hear: Each model’s voice could be heard on the loud speaker as they walked. Standout commentary from them includes: “The world is on fire and we’re talking about fashion?”, “We all look like a bunch of clowns, is the aim of this brand to make us look ugly?” and “I can’t do it, f-ck this.”

Touch: Set on a thick, multi-color carpet, the models were adorned with oversized scarves, large mohair hats and soft dresses lined with squiggly threads. As for accessories, a variety of the bags, necklaces and even a set of headphones had soft spikes in neons and jet blacks.

Taste: Get inspired by SUNNEI’s unexpected cut-outs, places everywhere from the belly button to the bicep. In a season where most opt for neutral hues, dare to dress with SUNNEI in mind with colorful stripes and mix matched colorways.
