From Personal Struggles to Luxury Solutions, Jing Botanics Has Your Scalp Covered

Ancient wisdom meets modern science with this new scalp health collection.

Alternative medicine has been in for a minute, and we’ve been loving new initiatives joining the wave. Now, Jing Botanics, a Singapore-based beauty brand rooted in legacy and luxury, is fusing “traditional Chinese medicine and modern scalp science” with the aim to promote well-being and confidence.

The brand was founded by Ivan Cheng and Hazel Yeo, two friends who shared a dream of enhancing hair and scalp health.  Their journey began when they both faced personal health issues. Ivan, a professional in the beauty industry and an entrepreneur, developed hair loss at the age of 30, and Hazel, a private equity and venture capitalist from Singapore, experienced postnatal hair loss.  Their challenges and unwavering determination led them to create Jing Botanics, a brand born out of intention, empathy and understanding.

Since the beginning of 2024 and making its debut in January, their hero product, “The Revitalizing Hair and Scalp Serum,” has impacted its customers significantly by uncovering the balance of tradition and innovative progress.  Their products are created with 18 plant extracts of herbs that are scientifically similar to traditional Chinese medicines.  The press release lists ingredients such as Ginseng, Ginger, He Shou Wu, Dong Quai and Heartleaf, which are star remedies because of their nutrition and aphrodisiac value.  They also have a Gua Sha Comb that improves blood circulation, and revitalizes hair.

“Balance is a fundamental concept of traditional Chinese medicine and is at the heart of everything we do at Jing Botanics – between Eastern and Western approaches to beauty, between nature and science, between the time-tested traditions and the modern beauty,” says Ivan Cheng.

Retailing from $30-78 USD, Jing Botanics can be found on their websiteFor more on hair health, check out our latest coverage on hair cycling.
