Nike Brings Its Biggest Soccer Stars Together for a Women-Led Drop

Uniting six of the best for a colorful capsule.

Nike has launched the second edition of Nike United, a special drop fronted and co-designed by six of women’s soccer‘s brightest talents. The first chapter was all about unity, bringing together some of the biggest names in the game: Sophia Wilson, Naomi Girma, Lauren James, Patri Guijarro, Deyna Castellanos and Salma Paralluelo. This next part of the United story focuses on individuality, bringing a bit of personality to Nike’s three signature boot silos.

Each player represents something different, from explosive speed to game-controlling calm. Those traits are reflected in the newest versions of Nike’s Phantom, Mercurial and Tiempo boot silhouettes. For Nike United, the girls took their skills off the pitch and turned into designers, albeit temporarily, to bring cleat-shaped canvases of pink, red, blue and grey to the world. Each pair is like a watercolor, with gorgeous pastels blending seamlessly into each other to tell a story of strength, determination and girl power.

The collection’s signature hues are brought to life in a visually stunning campaign shot by Elizaveta Porodina, a Munich-based photographer with an instantly recognizable style, known for her dreamy lighting and vibrant colors. For the first time, Nike United’s next drop will include training apparel, and though the exact garments haven’t been revealed yet, the campaign imagery teases some lace-trimmed tees and shorts for a flirty flourish on performance clothing.

The new Nike United collection will be available to purchase worldwide on November 3 from the Nike website and select retailers.

In other news, Palace and Nike’s new collab is retro footy at its finest.
