Karol G Brings the Heat to Diesel
Launching her first capsule collection with the brand, inspired by her new album ‘Tropicoqueta.’
Colombian singer Karol G just launched her first co-designed capsule with Diesel and Glenn Martens, taking inspiration from her latest album, Tropicoqueta, which was released back in June. Tapping into Diesel’s love of freedom, self-expression and nonconformity, the nine-piece capsule blends the artist’s personal style with the spirit of the brand.
Rooted in the color orange alongside the symbolic lotus flower and coconut prints, the capsule features ready-to-wear styles along with denim, swimwear and accessories, each taking inspiration from the album cover and its graphics. Standouts include a metallic orange bikini, a one-piece swimsuit and an orange knitted dress, all of which come complete with strategically-placed lotus flower prints.
Elsewhere, the collection features a slogan tee with one of the album’s tracks, “LATINA FOREVA” across its chest, paired with silver and gold biker jackets, denim shorts and a baseball cap. The capsule also includes an exclusive version of Diesel’s signature Double-D bag, personally designed by the artist herself.
“This collection with DIESEL is really close to my heart,” said KAROL G in a press release. “To me, DIESEL represents what Tropicoqueta is all about: freedom, self-expression and stepping outside of your comfort zone. I’ve loved the brand for so long, so bringing the world of Tropicoqueta into fashion with them came at the perfect moment,” the artist continues.
