K-Way and Play Comme Des Garçons Drop a New Collaboration
Featuring a fresh update on the Le Vrai jacket.
New year, new jacket? K-Way and Play Comme des Garçons are saying yes. In a continuation of their longstanding partnership, the two brands linked up to give us new colorways and fabrications for both high-performance and high fashion.
The capsule features two Le Vrai jackets in gold and black, now crafted with an updated, technologically advanced fabric. While the silhouette remains faithful to the previous edition, keeping the minimalist aesthetic so central to both brands, the shift in fabric marks a huge upgrade. The Nylon 4.0 offers improved water resistance, breathability and lightweight wear, ready to get you through your city commute or a hike in the great outdoors.
The collaboration is instantly recognizable through a striking visual campaign lensed by renowned Japanese photographer Keizo Kitajima. His work is known for its bold use of light and color with a contemporary edge, often capturing candid street photography. Kitajima’s eye brings a distinctly Japanese visual narrative to the campaign and captures the jackets’ innovative materials and functional design in striking detail.
The jackets will be available via the Comme des Garçons website and Dover Street Market.
