RUIbuilt FW25 Was All About Healing

“Love what makes you, you.”

RUIbuilt debuts its Fall/Winter 2025 collection.

Obsessed with the idea of the “in-between” and liminal spaces, Rui Zhou, the mind behind RUIbuilt, focuses on healing this season. Presented during Paris Fashion Week, the collection titled “EDGY OF TOUCH” explores the relationship between the garment and the body, evoking endless sex appeal.

As shared in her SS25 interview with us, every release is about “Healing. It’s always about self-healing every season from my first show until now.” Her hope is that each viewer feels “a feeling inside of their heart, maybe they’ll suddenly fall in love with their body or feel nostalgic.”

This season, RUIbuilt’s mission takes on a new form by introducing a new material: leather. As seen in the emotive cookbook, models sway, highlighting “the boundary between garment and body,” the show notes read. Ultimately, the collection is a “dialogue about wrapping and revealing, breaking and mending, separation and connection.”

“The most poignant moment occurs as she traces the contours of her body—a brush gliding along her fingertips and the edges of her arms, slowly outlining her form. In this moment, the social self is stripped away from the “body,” and she becomes a pure existence, transcending the boundaries of the gaze. The traces left behind become a candid part of life’s trajectory, echoing the silent dialogue between body and self.
