Skylar Just Named ‘Love Island USA’ Star Leah Kateb as Chief Creative Officer

The reality TV star and clean fragrance brand are a match made in heaven.

Love Island USA‘s Leah Kateb has been appointed as the new Chief Creative Officer and “Refounder” of clean fragrance brand Skylar. The news comes after Kateb expressed a genuine affinity for the brand’s Vanilla Sky Perfume in a shower routine video. While Kateb will undoubtedly serve as the new face of the brand, her role as Chief Creative Officer is much more than just a celebrity endorsement.

“I always knew I had a special connection to fragrance, but Skylar felt different. It felt clean, sexy and completely me,” Kateb said in a press release. Given Skylar’s ethos of Los Angeles roots and consciously made perfumes, the brand recognized California native Kateb as the perfect candidate to lead the brand.

In her new role, Kateb will be responsible for ushering in a brand new era of Skylar. Through scent development, storytelling and brand vision, Kateb plans to completely embed herself into the company. “When [Skylar] called, it just made sense. Now I get to help reimagine a brand I genuinely love, from the inside out. We’re making Skylar bolder, more expressive and definitely a little hotter. This next era is personal and it’s going to smell so good,” Kateb says.
