Dr. Martens’ New Y2K Boot Is Truly Buzz-Worthy

Take a closer look at the silhouette that came out top at Copenhagen Fashion Week.

For those still riding high on the Y2K wave, Dr. Martens has just released a new silhouette that brings noughties revival style confidently into the Fall season.

The calf-length Buzz Hi boot was revealed earlier this month at Copenhagen Fashion Week in the brand’s Buzz World showcase, capturing the attention of tastemakers Rimon and Lotta Lavanti with its overstated design and glossy finish. From the event to the streets of the city, the boot was soon spotted in their playful outfits, combined with flouncy dresses and gaping shorts, illustrating its year-round wearability.

In a closer look at the Buzz Hi, the brand reintroduces its archive-inspired Buzz sole, which features a barrel-edged platform and grooved lines. For the main body, a semi-aniline leather – known in Dr. Martens’ library as the Eclipse leather – is cut into a wide, motorcycle-style shape and layered with a middle panel for additional structure. To finish, a thick back strap is sewn onto the top of the boot to enhance the sporty look, while the signature yellow welt stitch brings a hint of color to the otherwise monochromatic boot.

Be sure to shop the Buzz Hi in “Black,” “Olive,” and “Flame Orange” on Dr. Martens’ website and at global retailers.
