Saucony and METAGIRL Kicks Are Coming, And The Lore Is Deep

Reimagining the classic ProGrid Paramount.

Running and lifestyle brand Saucony announces its debut collaboration with creative and designer METAGIRL. Diving into the archives, the release resurrects the classic ProGrid Paramount from the early 2000s, but with a new futuristic, lore-inspired twist.

METAGIRL is known for her unique and ultra-feminine customizations that sidestep the traditionally male-dominated concept of sneaker modification. Think lace, frills, pearls and gemstones delicately combined into the humble sneaker. The intricate pieces champion feminine aesthetics in a striking convergence of delicate design and sporty innovation. Brian Moore, Saucony’s Chief Product Officer, says that the shoe “represents more than just a collaboration – it signals a new chapter in the brand’s commitment to elevating women’s voices within sneaker culture.”

Infused with METAGIRL’s fresh perspective, the shoe features the Triumph 4 sole and adds a groundbreaking 3D printed shell-heel counter hand-sculpted by the designer herself. Adornment is a must for METAGIRL, so you’ll also find silver leather overlays, soft organza ruffles and delicate pearl studs all pulled together by a shiny purple. These shimmering embellishments gave the shoe its apt name, Daughter of the Moon, and evoke the spirit of a forest nymph or magical Y2K princess. We can’t wait to femme-up our footwear in these.

The METAGIRL x Saucony ProGrid Paramount will see a limited release via the METAGIRL Studio website on August 29, with the collaboration launching globally on August 12 via the Saucony website.
