TTSWTRS Is Dropping a Skin-Inspired Swimwear Collection
Exploring themes of censorship and freedom.
TTSWTRS is back with a brand-new launch, just in time for any last-minute summer vacays. Landing in the form of a new swimwear collection, the new release mimics “bare skin, tattoos and varying tan shades,” according to the press releases. Arriving in two colorways, “Copenhagen,” a lighter skin variant and “LA,” a more tanned version, the collection features a one-piece and a bikini.
Complete with tattoo artwork overlays, created in collaboration with artists Long Boy, Massimo and Burgerkiim, the swimwear silhouettes are designed to mimic inked artworks directly on the body. Documenting the way that skin gradually tans in the sun, the collection aims to reflect “the passage of time and the experiences it holds.”
Along with that, the collection and accompanying campaign explore the idea of censorship through tongue-in-cheek poses and visuals, featuring phrases like “NO NIPPLES” and “NO TOPLESS.”
