100 Female Artists Are Uniting in Honor of International Women's Day
For an auction by Art on a Postcard, fundraising for Hepatitis C Trust.
In honor of International Women’s Day, over 100 artists are uniting for Art on a Postcard’s auction in aid of Hepatitis C Trust’s work in prisons and the community with women affected by the criminal justice system.
3.7% of women in UK prisons have hepatitis C, compared with 0.5% of the UK general population. Curator Gemma Peppé founded Art on a Postcard in 2014 in response to her own decades-long battle with the virus. Since 2014, Art on a Postcard’s auctions have raised over £2.5m for the Hepatitis C Trust in a huge move for women’s health and proving just how powerful art can be in fueling social change.
Artworks across disciplines and styles, from surrealism to still life and sculpture, are available in a wonderful curation of female talent. Artists contributing to the auction include Vanessa Jackson RA, Șolá Olúlòde, Dominique Fung and Lorena Lohr. The auction itself has also been curated by a panel of leading women in the arts, including Working Arts Club founder Meg Molloy, art advisor Claudia Cheng and Liminal Gallery director Louise Fitzjohn, marking a bold new chapter for the fundraising culture platform.
AOAP Projects’ International Women’s Day auction runs from March 5 to 19, 2026. Head to the organization’s website to bid on some of the impressive pieces and nab something for yourself.
