Balenciaga Launches Its New Radar Sneaker
Including a sneakerina for the aspiring bunheads.
Forget about those chunky dad sneakers. Pierpaolo Piccioli just launched one of his first runners for Balenciaga, and it’s as sleek as they come. The Radar Sneaker gets its name from the tracking technology, debuting as a shoe that almost molds into your foot for a seamless fit. Arriving in two styles, Balenciaga has another hit on its hands.
The sneaker heavily reduces the chunk of oversized stompers we’ve grown accustomed to at Balenciaga. A low-profile style, the Radar features a double lacing system, wrapping around the upper for a secure and adjustable fit. Balenciaga’s sporty “3B” logo is debossed on the toe box, and the brand’s signature exposed shoe size decorates the heel.
Arriving in a few simple colorways, including a grayscale version and a pair painted in varying shades of purple, the sneakers are ready to become your next big obsession. If the original style wasn’t enough to get you hooked, the sneakerina version will. The Radar Ballerina takes the already sleek sneaker and slims it down even more, giving the shoe a ballet slipper look with a sporty feel.
The Radar Sneaker and Ballerina are available to purchase now on the Balenciaga website and select retailers.
