The Best Dressed Stars at the 2026 Oscars
From Jessie Buckley in Chanel to Michael B Jordan in Louis Vuitton.
Last night in Los Angeles, the 98th Academy Awards lit up Hollywood with all the spectacle that the ceremony is known for, think high-glam fashion, touching speeches and a few censored jokes along the way. As the industry’s biggest names gathered to celebrate the year in film, the red carpet once again proved just as captivating as the awards themselves. From fresh-off-the-runway showstoppers to understated elegance, the night delivered plenty of memorable style moments.
On the awards front, the evening largely belonged to One Battle After Another, which dominated the ceremony with six wins, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Supporting Actor. The victory marked a major milestone for director Paul Thomas Anderson, who finally took home his first Oscar after more than three decades in the industry. Jessie Buckley also made history, winning Best Actress for her soul-baring performance in Hamnet and becoming the first Irish woman to claim the award.
The Best Actor category was one of the night’s most closely watched races, with predictions, polls and online debates swirling in the lead-up, particularly following Timothée Chalamet’s controversial comments about opera earlier in the week. In the end, the award went to Michael B. Jordan for his role in Sinners, the film that entered the ceremony with a record-breaking 16 nominations. Meanwhile, Marty Supreme was one of the evening’s surprises, leaving empty-handed despite Chalamet’s widely praised performance, suggesting the young actor’s Oscar moment may still lie ahead.
