Miaou x adidas Originals Are Back for Round Two
Taking inspiration from early 2000s paparazzi imagery.
Adidas Originals just dropped round two of the collaboration we’ve all been waiting for. Reuniting with Alexia Elkaim’s Miaou, the newest instalment of their partnership builds on the sportswear-inspired debut, this time tapping into early 2000s references, football frenzy and WAG culture.
Seemingly using Victoria Beckham as their muse, the newest collaboration aims to reimagine “sideline style” by looking back at one of the sporting world’s most aesthetically inspiring eras. The collection takes inspiration from off-pitch style, paying close attention to the subtle glamor and femininity that surrounds it.
Featuring a new iteration of the Megaride silhouette, the new kicks are crafted with a smooth leather upper, silicon embossed stripes and debossed, co-branded details. Landing in two colorways, the first shoe comes in silver with orange accents, followed by baby blue with silver accents.
The apparel selection includes a jersey, a baby blue corset and a pair of white nylon track pants. The jersey features a “Miaou Sport” graphic across the center, alongside a custom crest, matte piping and a rounded hem. Next up, the corset comes crafted with bungee cords on its side panels, elastic shoulder straps and embroidered co-branding. Rounding out the offering are the incredibly of-their-time-but-still-very-cool Nylon Pants, transformed with concealed zippers and embroidered branding.
Celebrating the release is a new campaign featuring footballer Riccardo Calafiori and model Alyson Dubey, captured in the ever-iconic style of ‘2000s era paparazzi photos.
