KATSEYE Gets Wild in the New "Hootie Frutti" Music Video
The girl group throws an underground Brazilian-inspired party in the colorful visual for their latest single.
KATSEYE is entering its WILD era with a new music video for “Hootie Frutti,” and things are getting seriously chaotic. Released alongside the group’s latest EP, the Alfred Marroquin-directed visual sees KATSEYE throwing an underground Brazilian-inspired party, complete with a pulsing Latin beat, high-energy choreography and a lineup of colorful, barely-there looks. As the night unfolds, things get even more unhinged, with water pouring from the ceiling as the group continues dancing through the chaos.
The release arrives at a particularly significant moment for KATSEYE. The group is currently promoting as a four-piece, following hiatuses from Manon Bannerman and Sophia Laforteza. Manon stepped back earlier this year to focus on her health and wellbeing, while Sophia announced her own mental health break earlier this month. The remaining members have publicly voiced their support for both, emphasizing that their wellbeing comes first.
Despite the lineup changes, the KATSEYE momentum isn’t slowing down. WILD arrives following their breakout Beautiful Chaos era, while the group is also preparing for its first arena tour, kicking off in Dublin on September 1.
With WILD leaning into a bolder, more experimental side, “Hootie Frutti” feels like another step into KATSEYE’s increasingly maximalist pop universe. You can watch the music video here.
