Jimmy Choo's Latest Shoe is Heated and Can Be Controlled Wirelessly Through a Mobile App
The first of its kind.
When it comes to winter boots, it can be hard to find a pair that will keep your feet warm and snug throughout the season. Jimmy Choo has taken that into account, and is planning to change the way we wear our winter shoes. Teaming up with French smart shoe technology company Zhor-Tech, Jimmy Choo is releasing an innovative silhouette that features a remote-controlled heated insole that can be controlled through a mobile app.
Titled the Voyager boot, the new shoe embodies Jimmy Choo’s unique design aesthetics balanced with technology. The new model is crafted from water-resistant vachetta leather and nubuck, and features soft shearling lining for extra insulation. The shoe also features a USB port behind the “collar,” where you can charge the footwear. With the mobile app, wearers are able to track both activity as well as regulate the temperature which ranges from 77°F to 113°F, and lasts up to 8 hours.
“A boot that warms the feet seemed like the ultimate luxury, but a fundamentally practical one — after all, what could be more luxurious on a freezing day than using your phone to remotely keep your feet beautifully snug? The Jimmy Choo Voyager is a boot like no other,” said Jimmy Choo about the collaboration.
Retailing between $1,795 to $1,895 USD, the Voyager boot is available for purchase online.
