Premiere: Atlanta Rapper Killumantii Debuts New Music Video "Ha Ha"
Don’t sleep on this rising star.
West Atlanta native Killumantii has been on a steady climb throughout 2018. The Generation Now/Atlantic Records signee who calls Lil Uzi Vert her labelmate is one of the latest female rappers out of the south. In less than a year, she took her Instagram following from 1,000 to over a million followers, proving her social media prowess. Her newest project, which dropped earlier this month, Yellow Tape points to her distinct lyricism alongside heavy hitters like Juicy J and Jacquees. Now, Killumantii unveils her official video for the standout track, “Ha Ha.”
The visual features the emcee spitting knowledge about trust issues, dating and getting over a negative situation. The premise behind the track is about outsmarting someone you once took seriously. Throughout the clip, Killumantii appears in various different hairstyles, and is styled in pieces from Kappa and Nike. We also spot her in the Nike Vandal 2K platform sneakers. The relatable lyrics point to the feelings that arise following a breakup, whether it be between friends or a romantic relationship.
Killumantii shared her thoughts on the production of the video with us:
“I wanted the video to match the vibes but still be able to show my style and focus on what matters the most– the lyrics.”
