Tyler, the Creator x Converse Reveal New "Artist Series" Footwear

Two young artists revamp the Chuck 70 and One Star.

Converse has launched its new “Artist Series” tapping Tyler, the Creator to curate the first exclusive collection. Tyler was tasked with choosing two artists, one whom he knows in real life and another from the Internet, to collaborate on the creating new colorways for the Chuck 70 and One Star. Wyatt Navarro and Øyvind Lauvdahl each unleashed their imaginations on the classic silhouettes creating a trio of wearable foot art.

Navarro’s illustrations reference Los Angeles street art as seen on the dreamy Chuck 70. Lauvdahl took a more serious approach to designed the black-and-white One Star which evokes feelings of isolation in the cold Norway winter. The two came together to also design a split-side Chuck 70 that merges their point of views.

The “Artist Series” trio will be available at Converse on November 26. Scroll through the gallery below for a closer look.
