Since Marc Jacobs decided to shut down his label Marc by Marc Jacobs in 2015, the designer has been laying low and focusing on his eponymous label Marc Jacobs. Now, Womenswear Daily has announced that the creative will be launching a new label called The Marc Jacobs.
The first collection will debut with pre-fall 2019 designs, and will be priced at a more affordable price point than the runway counterpart. It will hopefully be a similar concept to the Marc by Marc Jacobs label, but it remains to see what we can expect from the collection. The designer has hired Russian stylist Lotta Volkova for the brand’s lookbook, who’s previously worked with Demna Gvasalia on Vetements and Balenciaga.
