These Women's Exclusive Air Jordan 1s Are Made for the Rebels
Including three must-cop colorways.
Jordan Brand has been catering to the sneaker-loving ladies with a bunch of covetable releases recently. Just last month, the basketball footwear giant has unveiled a lineup of its women’s releases for Summer 2018, ranging from pastel-hued high-tops to vacation-ready slides. To fans’ delight, the brand now announces the launch of three new Air Jordan 1 styles, all exclusive to women.
As a continuation to Nike‘s boundary-pushing “The 1 Reimagined” collection, which was created by an all-female design team, the upcoming release will include two updated versions of the Air Jordan 1 “Rebel XX.” The lifestyle shoe, which previously came in neutral “Cream White” suede and leather, features a unique, twisted lacing system and a side zipper, and is perfect for girls who value style and functionality. The first of the two new colorways is the iconic “Chicago Red/Black/White” combo, while the second iteration blends three of the brand’s signature hues: “Chicago,” “Bred” and “Royal.” New color palette aside, the Nike Air branding has also been added right beside the zipper. Jordan Brand ambassador SZA is seen rocking the tri-color pair in a campaign image.
Among the mix we also see the Air Jordan 1 “Satin Shattered Backboard,” a head-turning style inspired by the Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard” originally released in 2015. Now available in women’s sizes, the shoe is revamped with a mix of tumbled leather as well as satin panels in a summery, orange shade. A color-matching translucent outsole rounds off the look.
