Here's Your First Look at the Upcoming Weekday x FILA Collaboration

There are jackets, crop tops, sneakers and more.

Following on from its hit collaboration with Champion, Swedish brand Weekday has teamed up with another buzzy sportswear label for its next covetable collection and this time it’s FILA that gets the Scandi treatment.

The 20-piece collection for men and women for spring/summer 2018 comprises of a range of core functional and sporty pieces. Think track pants, leggings, shorts and windbreakers with that ’90s appeal but combined with practical sensibilities and clean design. There are also cropped bra tops, T-shirts and sweatshirts and the garments feature logo branding throughout, but contrary to current trends that favour bold logos, these take a more subtle approach.

The nods to the technical aspects of the garments are clear – there are reflective elements, exposed zippers and toggle details across the products and pieces are cut with wearer flexibility in mind. The outerwear is wind and water-repellent, the jersey items are breathable and the leggings are both stretchy and comfy. The color palette is mostly minimal, with light greys, white and pale pink prominent but its given an edge with hits of black and bold blue.

Alongside the garments, the collab also features two pairs of sock-like runners in black and white – whilst the price is yet to be revealed, they’re sure to be an affordable alternative to Balenciaga’s popular Speed trainers.

Flick through the women’s imagery above – this collection is due to drop in Weekday stores from April 18 and online from April 19. For more from FILA, check out this cozy logo jumpsuit.
