Kanye West Threw Some Serious Shade at Nike for Its Upcoming Chunky Shoe Release
The “YEEZY 700 VIBES” tweet has since been deleted.
Earlier this week, Nike unveiled that it would be dropping a women’s exclusive chunky sneaker dubbed the M2K Tekno. With the pervasive dad shoe trend currently infiltrating every corner of the fashion industry, the release has already caught the attention of sneakerheads all through the Internet. Drawing various similarities to the OG Air Monarach silhouette, the new model is a perfect fusion of nostalgic and modern aesthetics.
However, Kanye West seems to have seen the forthcoming release in a different light. In a recent tweet (that has since been deleted), Mr. West accompanied an image of the M2K Tekno with the caption, “YEEZY 700 VIBES.” Of course, the tweet seems to be implying that the new ladies’ sneaker may have been influenced by Ye’s popular YEEZY BOOST 700 Wave Runner.
