Stars Dazzled in Chanel at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival
Including looks from Chloë Sevigny and Kristen Stewart.
If there’s a film event that comes second to the Oscars, it’s the Cannes Film Festival. The popular French festival is known for providing a platform for upcoming actors and directors from around the world. There’s no other ceremony of its magnitude that celebrates a variety of film genres from all nationalities. Not only is this festival a place to showcase movies, it’s also a fashion show that gives stars the opportunity to walk down the red carpet and reveal their elegant gowns.
While we’ve seen celebrities like Bella Hadid and Lupita Nyong’o stun in custom Dior, others chose to sparkle in Chanel, which the luxury brand revealed on Twitter. French actress Marion Cotillard looked regal in a tiered champagne gown, while Chloë Sevigny opted for two striking gowns – one in black and the other in grey decorated with sequins. Penelope Cruz looked glamorous in an all-black dress, as well as a sheer white dress which she wore to a dinner party. This years jury and ambassador, Kristen Stewart, kept it sleek in a classic black dress with a chic lion brooch on her neck.
