Extra Butter Is Dropping an Exclusive Air Jordan 1 "Homage to Home"
Paying tribute to a legend.
Extra Butter is releasing an exclusive Air Jordan 1 sneaker in its classic “Chicago” and “Banned” colorways. The shoe is dubbed “Homage” as it pays tribute to Chicago — the city of legendary basketball star Michael Jordan. The shoe made its debut in 1985 and has become what is now known as one of the most iconic sneakers to ever hit the streetwear scene. Since its original launch the sneaker has arrived in multiple colors including ” Shattered Backboard” and now over three decades later, the timeless shoe is still going strong.
The sneaker is split into two halves by a long stitch down the middle, with the lateral side featuring the red and black detailing of the Air Jordan 1 “Banned,” while the medial side takes on the Air Jordan 1 “Chicago” color theme of red, white and black. Fans can take a closer look in the gallery above and don’t miss out on copping these exclusive kicks.
The Air Jordan 1 “Homage” will drop on Saturday, May 19 at the Extra Butter store only and will retail for $160 USD. It will release on a first-come, first-served basis. For more news on the Air Jordan 1, check out the High Zip design.
