We’re nearing the release of the highly anticipated Virgil Abloh “Ghosting” Converse Chuck 70, and for our latest unboxing, we’re taking a look at the coveted sneaker. First seen as a part of the Off-White™ designer’s successful “THE TEN” collaboration that released late last year, the Converse trainer was the only silhouette that didn’t drop during the initial release. Fans of the collection have been patiently waiting for months, seeing the shoe teased on social media, and as of this week, we have an official release date.
The Chuck 70 sports a transparent upper emblazoned with the signature Off-White™ branding, as well as the phrase “VULCANIZED” printed on the lateral side as a nod to Converse’s classic vulcanized rubber soles. The silhouette is a modern take on the signature Chuck Taylor All Star ’70s sneaker, and comes with a set of four laces allowing for customization. Dropping on May 12, these shoes are a must-have for the season.
