American Apparel Launches Its "PRIDE" Collection
“Celebrating all pronouns in the gender spectrum.”
American Apparel unveils its “PRIDE” collection and campaign in celebration of this year’s Pride Month. Paying homage to the brand’s beloved “Gay O.K.” T-shirts, the three-piece capsule features two unisex tees and a tote bag.
One tee includes the distinct slogan, “Still here, Still queer,” while the other is emblazoned with “They O.K.: All Pronouns Welcome.” The tote comes with a multi-colored design of the company’s recognizable logo. The Pride Month pieces point American Apparel’s dedication to being a positive advocate for the LGBTQ-community. The campaign shown in the gallery above came to life following an open casting in which members from the LGBTQ community were able to attend. The casting call was created to encourage trans and non-binary people to participate in an opportunity created to celebrate underrepresented individuals.
