With the 2018 World Cup approaching, the fashion world has gone football crazy and although it already has deep roots in the soccer world, Nike is elevating the sporty look in this new partnership with Kim Jones.

Dior Homme’s artistic director, Jones, has been tapped by the sportswear giant for a “Football Reimagined” capsule collection. Inspired by his love of the game and the punk sensibilities of London’s iconic Kings Road in the ’70s, the collection features everything from unisex apparel to the newly-revealed Air Max 360 Hi sneaker.

Discussing the capsule collection, Jones shared that he “was inspired by the idea of DIY of the time — cutting up and putting things back together — to create something new.” He also touched on the design of his Frankenstein Air Max 360, explaining “I was looking at the silhouette of the Mercurial along with my three favourite Nike shoes: the Footscape, the Vandal and the Air Max 97. Combining these into one shoe is an homage to punk, but with a super-slick end product.”

Take a peek at the lookbook above – the full collection is set to release at Nike’s web store on June 7. For more football-inspired fashion, check out Acne Studios’ Fotbollsklubb collection.
