Kim Jones Has Been Named as Kris Van Assche's Successor at Dior Homme

But where will Kris go?

Ever since Kim Jones left Louis Vuitton earlier this year, the industry has been rife with rumours as to where the British designer will head next and it’s finally been revealed – he will be replacing Kris Van Assche as the artistic director at Dior Homme.

After 11 years at the helm of Dior Homme, the house announced today that Van Assche will be stepping down, and Jones will show his first collection for the luxury label at Paris Fashion Week in June, Business of Fashion reports. Sharing the news, Dior chairman and chief executive, Pietro Beccari stated:

“I am delighted to welcome Kim Jones at Dior Homme. He will benefit from the support of the teams and from the ‘savoir-faire’ of the Ateliers to create an elegant men’s wardrobe both classic and anchored in contemporary culture. I am confident that he will continue to further develop Dior Homme on a global scale.”

As for where Van Assche will go next, the rumours are sure to start circulating soon but according to reports from WWD, the Belgian designer will remain within the LVMH family. What do you think of the move?
