Calvin Klein Has Revealed Its First New Fragrance in 13 Years – and It's for "Women"
The campaign stars Lupita Nyong’o and Saoirse Ronan.
Raf Simons has already made some considerable changes at the helm of Calvin Klein – most recently the Belgian designer has announced a denim re-branding at the label. Fans of Calvin Klein however know the brand stretches way beyond apparel and accessories, it’s well-known for its fragrances, too.
Whilst perfumes like it’s signature CK, Eternity and Obsession lines have likely been a staple for many since the ’90s, the brand has just unveiled it’s first new fragrance in 13 years. Dubbed “Women,” the scent reportedly encompasses “woody floral with notes of orange flower and lemon pepper.” Speaking to BoF about the decision to launch “Women,” Simons stated:
“Immediately when I arrived, I looked closely at the various fragrances in the portfolio because it was important for me to continue the stories they captured, which were all iconic and meaningful moments. It became clear very early on that we should create a new fragrance and a new chapter to the story.”
Check out the official campaign imagery, lensed by visual artist Anne Collier which features Lupita Nyong’o and Saoirse Ronan alongside black-and-white imagery of women who have “inspired and influenced” them above.
