These Pikachu USB "Butt Chargers" Are Shockingly Cute

Nintendo is expected to release a whole series of these Pokémon chargers.

After third-party Pikachu “butt chargers” went viral last year, Nintendo has now announced an official release of the adorable tech product. Featuring the figure of the beloved electric Pokémon character, shown only from his torso downwards, the product seems as if Pikachu is diving headfirst into the electrical socket when it is plugged in. Rendered in his iconic yellow and brown coloration, the item is a must-have for both Pokémon fans and lovers of all things cute. For the time being, the product is unfortunately exclusive to Japan only. However, the USB charger is reported to be part of a series by Nintendo and we are definitely hoping for an international release to arrive stateside in the near future.

The Pikachu USB charger retails for ¥2,300 JPY (approximately $21 USD). Stay tuned here as we receive more updates on a forthcoming US release. In other tech news, read up on how female-founded companies have garnered $7.2 billion USD in funding this year.
