Take a First Look at adidas' Munchen Super "Lime Green" Colorway

adidas Originals presents an official look at the Munchen Super silhouette in “Lime Green” from its forthcoming SPEZIAL Fall/Winter 2018 collection. The iteration tells a historic story of Acid House in celebration of its 30th year anniversary. The fusion of fashion and music, which includes adidas as a distinct element of the equation, points to the cultural significance of warehouse parties. According to an official press release, “the energy of the outdoor raves in the Summer of Love were transplanted into the underground culture of warehouse parties.”
The Munchen Super “Lime Green” design is directly based on the Munchen Super made for the 1972 German Olympic team. Notably, the colorway is inspired by a rare ’80s Gazelle drop that SPEZIAL’s Gary Aspden hasn’t been able to trace. Detailing includes white accents throughout alongside tonal lacing. Another pop of color appears in a royal blue near the lacing system.
The Munchen Super in “Lime Green” will be available at select adidas stockists on September 7. No details have emerged on pricing yet.
