Gucci's New '80s Fanny Pack Doubles as a Backpack
Arriving in three hues.
It’s safe to say that Alessandro Michele has a lot to do with merging of streetwear and high fashion. Gucci‘s latest collections have reintroduced the fanny pack, hair clips and other items that were popular in the decade. For the Fall/Winter 2018 season Michele has revived the nylon bag transforming into a multi-use carrier.
The retro tote arrives in “Bright Blue,” black and “Floral” prints that reference color schemes from the time. Each bag is accented with the brand’s fuzzy terry cloth logo stamp and a “LOVED” tag on the center. It comes outfitted with a hidden zip pocket and two additional storage options on the sides. The straps on the back of the pack can be adjusted to transform into backpack and crossbody bag handles. Those heading to late summer festivals and concerts should definitely consider this item as their statement piece.
All three colorways are available now at Gucci for $1,450 USD. Take a closer look at the trio above.
