Rihanna snags the highly anticipated cover of Allure‘s ‘Best of Beauty’ issue. This year’s issue is dedicated to the innovative women who have taken the reigns of the beauty industry. The honor was bestowed upon Rihanna for her coveted, diverse Fenty Beauty foundation range phenomenon, which led to countless beauty lines like Tarte and ColourPop dishing out inclusive shade ranges.
The aforementioned cultural moment, took place a mere 13 months ago, which led to widespread change in the mainstream beauty business. Accompanying the stunning fashion spread shot by photographer Nadine Ijewere are open letters written to Rihanna from Fenty Beauty fans. One note is from Slick Woods who opened up about how the singer introduced her to a “mainstream level of exposure.”
