JJJJound Reimagines Canadian Outerwear Brand Kanuk's Iconic Heritage Otarie Jacket
Peep the campaign featuring Charlotte Cardin and Daniel Caesar.
Canadian outerwear brand Kanuk has unveiled the latest iteration of its iconic heritage jacket in collaboration with JJJJound. Dubbed the JJJJound Heritage Otarie Jacket, the ’90s Quebecian fashion staple arrives in three colorways – “Navy,” “Brown” and “Beige” – available for both women and men.
The design studio’s founder Justin Saunders said in a press release: “As a Montreal-based company, it was exciting for us to work with a local heritage brand like Kanuk, who’s been a staple of the Canadian winter since our childhood.” Driven by a nostalgic image from his childhood, Saunders was inspired to put a modern spin to the vintage classic garment. The jacket has also been incorporated with Kanuk’s signature designs that have been specifically manufactured to protect you against nature’s extreme cold weather conditions. Take a detailed look at the piece in the campaign imagery above starring Canadian artists Charlotte Cardin and Daniel Caesar.
The limited-edition JJJJound Heritage Otarie Jacket retails for $675 USD which is now available at JJJJound’s website. Kanuk stores will receive a later launch date of December 12. In related news, be sure to check out JJJJound x A.P.C.’s collection featuring minimalistic staples.
