Dover Street Market Is Opening a Beauty Store in Paris
The space will be designed by COMME des GARÇONS’ Rei Kawakubo.
Streetwear retailer Dover Street Market is expanding into the beauty space with a new store in Paris. The French location will be designed by COMME des GARÇONS‘ founder Rei Kawakubo, who is majority owner in the company. According to Business of Fashion, the store will take up 2,150 square feet and will open at the end of May in the Marais district. The full line of COMME des GARÇONS fragrances will be available as well as other brands curated to match the “spirit” of DSM. It’s reported that the beauty currently holds about 3 percent of the total company revenue. The opening of the new location could be a move to encourage shoppers to explore the brand’s lesser-known products.
